Monday Night Book Club

What are we reading?  The Monday Night Book Club has picked the Man Who Loved Books Too Much, by Allison Hoover Bartlett as their January 2012 book discussion choice.

John Charles Gilkey steals purely for his love of books.  Gilkey unsuspectingly entangles both Ken Sanders, a book dealer with a hankering for detective work, and Ms. Bartlett, a writer, curiously following and writing about a man who has stolen numerous rare books.  The Man Who Loved Books Too Much is a true story written with captivating narratives and through such writing reveals the peculiar and discreet nature of rare book collecting.

The Monday Night Book Club (MNBC) meets every fourth Monday of each month, January-November.  Meetings are at 7pm at the Westhampton Free Library.  Copies of January's book are available for at the circulation desk until Friday, January 20th 2012.  Please remember to register at the reference desk if you are planning to attend a book club meeting.  To inquire about joining the book club or sharing a book suggestions please e-mail wellread@westhamptonlibrary.net.  Happy Reading!
