Westhampton Free Library, along with many other Long Island libraries, will be reading The Lost Wife by Alyson Richman for its March book selection.
The Monday Night Book Club will be meeting Monday, March 26th at 7pm to discuss The Lost Wife. This book is a wonderful read. Set in pre-war Prague, the dreams of two young lovers are crushed when they are divided by the Nazi assaults. Then, decades later, thousands of miles away in New York, there's an unexplainable look of recognition between two strangers. The universe is giving Lenka and Josef one more chance. From the splendid easiness of a life in Prague, before the Occupation, to the terrors of Nazi Europe, The Lost Wife explores the influences a first love can have, the spirit of the human soul- and the strength of one’s remembrance (goodreads.com). If you enjoyed Sarah’s Key (by Rosnay, Tatiana de) and Those Who Save Us, (by Jenna Blum) you’ll enjoy every breath of The Lost Wife.
